35 & 32 peters remington Ammo

A buddy of mine has wack of old stuff from his dads garage back in the 60's. They also sold ammo. He sold me some 35 rem and 32 peters Remington. Never heard of the stuff before.

if the strippers are brass and marked 30rem,32rem or 35rem they are worth a few dollars and are the for model 8 and 81 remington semi auto rifle .The proper remington stripper clips are very hard to find and when they are found 100us is not uncommon

Remington made rifles in semi auto and pump for this ammo with afew other calibers to round them out in the early 1900, FN make a semi called the 1900 and also Standard arms.Also marlin still or did make some levers not too long ago

UP Date- I checked Ebay and found that they sold some from $55 to $75 each, US price plus shipping. So it cost roughly $90 Canadian for just One. now at least I have an idea of the Value.

Never heard of .32 Special ?
There are a bunch of guys with Winchester 94s who would give an eye tooth for some of that stuff.
Yeah, Yeah I know a thread from 10 years ago. Surprised I missed it from back then.

.32 Winchester Special ammunition is rimed ..32 Remington ammunition is rimless.The .32 Remington will fire in a .32 Special,but without the rim ,the ejection of the fired cartridge is iffy at best.

32 Remington is tough to find, so is 25 and 30 Rem
I reload all three in order to be able to shoot my model 8s
Rusty wood used to have Graff brass for these cartridges, finding the dies is tough too

I grew up on our farm in the 60’s carrying Dads old Model 14/.32Rem. That poor old rifle with the 1/2 inch 6x side mounted .22 scope went everywhere, horse, swather, combine as we had a lot of pesky bears as our one farm butted right up to a Provincial Park and they love oat crops.
So that old #14 started me down the sentimental path of my collecting 14’s, only one Model141 in .35 as they just don’t have the same feel as the 14.
Most of these were bought 20 yrs ago when ammo was affordable, now at GS it’s $100+/-.
