I just picked up a 356 Big Bore. I've got brass and dies on the way, and have some BB 205 Gr. GCFP bullets to get her shooting. I haven't seen a lot of jacketed bullets available other than the Hornady Lever stuff. Doe anyone know who is making a jacketed 200 to 220 Gr flat point bullet these days? If you have any loading info for the 356 Win that would also be appreciated.

Thx

I use 200 gr Hornady round nose. The end of the bullet is almost flat and should not be a problem in the tubular mag. If you are not comfortable with the round nose simply run a flat file over the end of the bullet to flaten it more. I have done this and does not bother accuracy even though I don't think it is necessary.

In my 356Win I like to use 250 Speer Hot Core and cut/file the exposed lead tip flat - to the same FN tip as their factory 220 FN (which I like too). It weighs 246grs or so after surgery. Kills bears pretty well I've found.
