My choice would be 'other'... using .338 bullets as the performance is better in similar capacity cases.

Yes that would make a nice shooting 35 cal with milder recoil then the 358 STA has ! RJ

I own:
35 Rem - Marlin 336C
358 Win - Winchester model 88

Either will take any North American game though I'd want a guy with a loaded 458 Win standing right beside me if I was hunting Grizz or Brown Bear with either of the above guns and a roll of toilette paper and a pair of fresh underwear in my pack sack.

Dad shot moose with an old Winchester semi-auto (can't recall the model) in 351 self loading caliber which looked like a pistol cartridge. The gun went to my uncle when Dad died.

The 35 Rem Marlin 336C is an excellent bush gun. Had mine for almost 50 years!

that 35 G&H looks awesome!! I recently shot 375 H&H in a Woodstock rifle an think that would be even better!

I have had a .35 Whelen as my main big critter rifle for some time, and have used it to take more than a dozen elk and moose. I have also used .356 win, .357 mag., .357 Rem max, and currently shoot a 9mm Mauser. My brother shoots a .358 Win. They all work well for their intended purposes.

Of the .35's, the only on that makes sense is the Whelen.

The Norma Mag is a joke. Get a .375....

The 35 Rem Marlin 336C is an excellent bush gun. Had mine for almost 50 years!

My 336C in 35 Rem has shot several deer and two one shot kills on adult moose which dropped in their tracks.
200 grain Rem Core-Lokt ammo and the Hornady 200 grain FTX LeveRevolution ammo for longer ranges if you don't handload.
Both deadly big game stoppers.

Too bad the .358 Winchester wasn't listed in the poll. Like to see how many of us are gunning with this round.

338 Lapua Imp. is right up there with it !!
A 300 gr. Sierra Matchking over 112.0 gr. US869 makes for well over 3000 fps, very flat shooting....

Voted for my Whelen but also use a 358win lever just to change it up occasionally.
Agree with Fugawi's post would be curious to see individual poll results for 358win.
