35 Norma Brass Finding & Forming

I'm getting the itch to get a 358 cal rifle...

2 things:

-Being that components can be scarce in Canada where are you guys finding 358 Norma brass?

-What are you using to form 358 Norma brass out of donor cases and what are your methods?

I just make them out of 7mm rem. Cases. They're a smidge short to start, but they iron themselves out after a couple of firings. I use a Hornady 30 cal neck sizer for the first pass, and then go straight to the 358 die. It's just that easy.

Any of the medium length magnum cases will work. I used 338 Win Mag because I had a lot of it. 358 Norma is still available I believe, though hard to find. I bought 5 boxes or so back in the day and that will last me until I'm gone. Sold some off to another gent with one on this board. You tend not to shoot them that much. - dan
 
Every now and then you will find some gun store that has a box or two of old Norma ammo still on the shelf, or someone at a gunshow who has some...but this getting more rare as time passes. I have noticed over the years, but unfortunately cannot recall what store I last saw some at. (Saw 308 Norma Mag more often. You should be able to neck up that brass too, if you can find some of it.
You are going to spend some time visiting gun stores in every town around you, and on your travels, or calling them up to see what they might have.
 
I use 338 win mag it comes out a little short. Ive also used 300 win mag, but this requires more steps and you end up splitting a few unless your set up fo anneal
