It would be possible. You'd need a pre-chambered barrel in .350 Rem Mag and start with a WSM rifle. You could also start with another short action rifle but you will need a new bolt head and a new mag.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if anyone makes a bolt action .358 anymore. I like those Ruger Model 77's that Hoytcanon has.

I took my first steps into the world of the 35 Rem earlier this year when I purchased off the EE a 21" magnaported high lustre blued T/C Contender carbine bull barrel it came with some brass/ammo/RCBS dies.

I messed around looking for the #9 shell holder but gave up and started using my RCBS #3 shell holder.

I'm loading Hornady 200gr FTX and have a very nice accurate load now not pushing velocities at all yet but that is only because my newer Beta Shooting Chrony stopped working and I haven't figured it out yet so I have no real idea what velocities I'm getting.

Best part of the Contender system is you just swap barrels and your good to go.

I brought it out to the range one day this fall while I was developing loads with the .375 Ruger but nothing serious. I have to get on this. I think I went with a 1:14 twist, same as my Whelen.

I have my father's old Marlin 336sc in .35 Rem. It's a early 1950's vintage carbine and is very light,and easy to carry. When he was in his later 60's and 70's I loaded 158 gr cast semi wadcutters to reduce the recoil so he could shoot it.

I was looking at an original model 600 in 35 R at the Crowsnest pass show in August. Not the 660 or the mohawk. You could see where the posts to hold the rib had bee if you looked hard. I probably should have bought it because it was reasonable but I already have a real slick 14 in 35R and I shott lefty but it was a real neat rifle

Personally I like my moose rifles a little more powerful but I'm sure it would work!

How did they work out on game?

Never tried them on game. He just used them for fun shooting. I suspect the would be fine for smaller game, small deer, at moderate ranges. I was loading them about like a medium to hot .357 load.

The .35 Rem has a .460 rim diameter contrary to the "standard" .473. ...I tried .35 Rem ammo in my Savage when it was still a .308 Win and the extractor would not reliably catch the rim of the cartridge....

perhaps it was due to the sloppy chamber? if the chamber was a fit for 35Rem, the extractor may work fine?
