Let me start off by saying I have an infatuation with low recoiling rifles. I love to shoot my pistol caliber 357, 44, and 45 lc. I just got a 300 blackout (waiting for it to come in the mail) because it is a slower and lower recoiling round. So of course while looking at rifles and rounds the 350 legend has came up a time or two. And from what I understand it can be though of as a longer 357 mag to a sense. Now the 350 is not a slow round like a pistol caliber, shooting at over 2000 fps and that fine with me. I want to hear from guys who have shot one, reload for one, taken game with one, or any general information about it.

I picked up a Winchester XPR in 350 Legend last February. Hornady 165 grain FTX printed the best group (.651) at 50 yards (2200 fps muzzle velocity), and Winchester's 160 grain Power Max was .740 at 50 yards (2225 fps muzzle velocity).
Nice light recoiling round, fun to shoot. Killed a 195 pound wild boar in Saskatchewan with the Hornady FTX, it only went 30 yards. I hope to take a muley doe this fall with the 160 Power Max. I was surprised at the amount of bloodshot meat from the FTX, but have heard the FTX is soft and opens up easy.
Same rifle I am looking at buying. Glad to hear it shot well and had some nice groups. How much are you paying for a box of ammo to fed that thing?

Very close. If you had a 35rem in a bolt action it would be a step up from the 350 legend but the 35Rem is usually in lever actions which aren't as strong.
With its straight wall case it is legal in some states where you can use straight wall cases in shotgun only zones. Outside of those areas it's nothing special, but if that was the only factor to consider we'd all have 308s or 30-06s.
I keep seeing that same thing said on everything I read. “Unless you live in a state where straight wall can be used, then it’s nothing special” I don’t get it, since when did everyone stop buying guns because they were cool, or interesting? Since when did everyone need a purpose to own a caliber?
Suther, I’m not coming after you by any means. I liked your added in comments if it were true we all would own 30-06’s. I’m just curious when the mindset of gun guys changed? I hear that statement more from the guys in the USA then Canada. And I though they loved everything that went bang.. apparently not when it comes to 350
What's special and cool and interesting about the 350 Legend is it is competitive with 30-30 Winchester/35 Remington cartridges, and can be used anywhere a 30-30 can be used, if you like hunting within the limitations of those cartridges. I sold my break-action 35 Rem and lever action 30-30, and kept a bolt action 358 Winchester. This little 350 bugger is just as much fun to shoot and hunt with as all 3 of those guns and it is in a bolt action rifle. If you buy one you most likely will not regret your decision.
I sold my 30-30 years ago. I have long range high power rifles, that never come out of the safe. I enjoy hunting with limitations. It’s why just about all my hunting is done with my 44 mag and 357 mag and my muzzle loaders. The only time I pull out a fast shooting gun is for gophers and coyotes. I have a 300 blackout that will be here in a week or so but I think I will pick up one of these 350. Hunting within feet of game is more fun then hunting game with high feet per second rounds.
Those guys have always existed. I've got 3 buddies, they all own 30-06s and 12ga pumps, and have little reason to buy a second rifle in a hunting caliber or another shotgun.
Then you've got your gunnutz. I didn't have any NEED to buy a 4th 12ga, but I bought it anyways! Lol
30/30 power in an ar 15 with flatter trajectory than 450 bm is pretty special. Fits in a standard mag well too

I’m with you. I just got offered another 22 on trade for something and I had to stop and think so I need 6 22’s? I have always been this way with guns and I ain’t changing
If only is right. I would have 4 or 5 in all different calibers if only.
The way the polymer gsr magazines are made allows them to be cut flush and the magazine base will slide onto those ribs with very minimal work. I made a 3 rnd out of a 10 if those are all that’s available. Compare the lip the baseplate is secured on and the ribs and you’ll see what I mean.

I came to the same conclusion meself and have a RAR in 350 Legend on its way to me from PR. Just had to fill the .35 cal hole in me safe.
Gonna be fun tossing 180-200+gr hardcast boolits from the bugger fer sure.
