350 Remington Magnum

To go to the next level in .358, ever consider the .358 Norma Magnum?

Considered... and rejected... and considered again... and rejected again... and considered again... and... well you get the point... but then again there are few I haven't considered... and too many that I "haven't" rejected...

Was hooked on the 350RM from the first time I ever shot a large mule deer with it...terminal performance was stunning.
I have started making my own brass by running 300WM or sometimes 7mm through an RCBS trim die than outside neck turning...endless range pick-up brass. Really not that time consuming. I'm on 2nd firing on my first batch that I never even bothered to anneal and have no neck splitting problems as of yet.

Mine was a very large white tail ... was a Texas heartshot taken standing with iron sights at about 60m up hill. Deer sat right there and didn't move. I use a Redding form/trim die - and inside/outside reamers - cant imagine anything easier than that to form brass.

I have a 35Whelen pump as well with a little cheap ScopeChief 4 and like them both... darn bright (and tough) scope that little ScopeChief ...MUCH better than a Leupold VariX lll 1.5-5 I sold off cheap cause of excessive flare - if you cant see the game .. not much point in using a scope.

A while back I decided I;) 'needed' one but I wanted it in a Schultz & Larsen. Prior to finally achieving that objective, I had been offered a couple of CZ's and a Husqvarna which I turned down. Then, Ted offered to sell me a Husqvarna and I resisted that temptation as well, until he sent me photos. I weakened.

Then, after a considerable length of time, out of the blue, I was offered the chance to purchase a Schultz & Larsen.

Long story short, now I have two rifles in 358 Norma Magnum:D.
