357/38 Load

I just got a Puma 357/38 lever and I was wondering what load do I use ? I tied with my pistol load and it seamed a bit lite.I would like a hotter 38 load as I have a ton of brass for it and I can cast my on bullets

If you are using Jacketed 158 grainers in that rifle, try Hodgdon's 'lil' gun. It gives the best velocities at the lowest pressures in the 357 case, and proobably also in the 38 spl case. It is quite dense, and really makes this round come alive. Regards, Eagleye

I've really only tinkered with the 357 a little as the first load I worked up to, 158gr jacketed with a 1/2 grain below max of H110, Shoots ragged holes.
