I am looking for a 357 Lever. What is better Chiappa or Rossi? I am looking at these , because the the pre rem marlins are hard to find.

I am leaning towards Chiappa, since the hard case steel looks nice.

In 357 mag i have a Chiappa, Marlin, Winchester, Henry, Uberti and the 2 best ones, accuracy wise are the Henry Big Boy and the Trapper Win 16 inch, in that order... JP.

I am also looking at acquiring a .357 mag lever and I have done plenty of reading and probably have visited over 24 different sites and forums and although there are many varied opinions I have pretty well decided to go with the Henry Big Boy as well. Now I just have to find who has them at the best price.

To answer your question CBR600, from all that I have read I would say the popular vote goes to Chiappa over Rossi, but the Chiappa's are not to be had cheap either. I hope you find what best suits your needs and tastes.

Sorry about that, i have a mint condition BLR in 257 Robert, one of my favorite safe queen @ my Ontario farm... JP.

I have a Browning .357. Very nice. FWIW, it will not feed .38 Special rounds, unless they are loaded to .357 oal. A friend has a Marlin; it will feed standard length .38 Specials.
