God help me I picked up a Pietta SAA 1873 w/7.5" barrel in .357 Mag :D

.38 Spl is all over at great prices.

Where is the best place/dealer selling .357 Mag though? Not looking for premium match grade by any means.
Just a hundred rounds or so at a decent price for the two or three times a year I'll actually shoot it.

Any leads on a good deal? Dealers welcome of course.

If you are only looking for 2 boxes a year then just buy what you find local and don't waste time trying to save $2-$3 a box. That being said, $27 to $34 a box seem to be the norm that I've spent. I found a guy that sells reload .38spl at $13 a box and that's all I shoot now.

Will look into her.
Thanks.

Well the way the price of ammo keeps going up, the way I look at if I buy a couple hundred now, it will last me 20 years at the lowest price it will ever be lol
Then I don't have to drop the cash 8 years from now when it's $4.50 a round or prohibited due to government ###ness, if you get what I'm layin' down.

reloading FTW box of 50 with my cast bullets is only $8! i don't count reloading press etc as it's a one time fee.

I'm only set up for .30-06 though I still haven't loaded yet.
I need to stop being a lazy ass and get into it more I think, or find someone willing to sell a few handloads at a marked up price for labour/components....

Thanks all!

make sure you trust who ever with your life, because that's what your doing with reloads from other people.

since your already setup then it's just a matter of a new set of dies for 38spl which will also do 357mag. its less work then rifle rounds since you don't have to trim your brass.

Could you post a review or thoughts on your new SAA? I am looking at the exact pistol...

When she comes in from Marstar I will do a full write up.
There's not much info on them in depth. Just a lot of "it's built really well, shoots awesome" style stuff.
Hickock45 has a video on them. He praises them, so that was good enough for me! ;)

Will post a review once I ge it in and shoot it.

That's a good point (shows how much I currently know about reloading as well)
You can't beat 8 cents a round I guess after set up. Will be keeping the brass from the first box of 50 I buy for sure.
