edit- they are 158gr
got some Berries brand, plated lead125gr i think off top of my head in just a FN style.
plan is to load for the mates little lever gun and for bailed pigs i think mostly... the odd pot shot at 50m or so maybe aswell....
first off- Plated projies for hunting? proberly not ideal perhaps a hollow point would be better option?
my thoughts were a plated style lead bullet, moderate pace ... should penetrate well.
well placed penetrating shots often result in a dead critter?
so on the box it says clearly, 1250fps as a max-
so i just load them up to 1250fps roughly via the books and with the aid of the Chrono get it there, or back it down to 1250s?
rifle has a red dot and is a close range device.
thoughts on this and help with a powder as the ADI stuff doesnt look too suitable , an is no cast 125gr data to chase up-
remembering in aus i may not have the powders you do but il chase any leads.
thanking you
