Yep my Mac won't run the program unless I get some thing I know nothing about to run windows programs so thats what the old lap dog is for LOL
the 150 gr run up to 40k ok with the 4198 but to maintain a fillable case to 105% had to switch to 4227 for the 55k
seems there may be some felt recoil in a light rifle LOL

How does it compare ballistically to the .350 Legend?

Looks like 400fps more at the same pressure, thanks to pmatuk’s handy old laptop skills. That’s meaningful and the number I wanted to see was 2400-2500fps with 150s, which it appears will be no trouble.

You can tell I’m dancing around the main subject no doubt, if I did what I really want to with this cartridge would be a little 5lb double rifle. The odds of pursuing that I give 25% which is why I’m not talking about it. I do very much want to play with the cartridge for it however, and give it some years to brew. On the frames I’d build it has to be a very skinny round to keep breech face pressure, and chamber wall thicknesses safe. Would run much lower than the 55K pmatuk ran in the second data set but wanted to see what it could do in a vault action.

Being only 150gr 358 diameter what bullet would you use? Can pistol bullets be counted on for reliable performance at 2500fps?

165gr FTX is high on the list.
