.357 Mag with 158 gr Berry's HP Bullets

What powders and charge are you using for this? I referred to my Hornady, Nosler and Sierra Handbooks on 158 gr bullets. If anybody out there is using these Berry's, can you please let me know what powder you like and how much?

Start with cast bullet loads for 158gr bullets. Are you looking for fire breathing magnum loads or light plinking loads?

as with all my 357 mag i use h110/w296 or most recently i tried imr 4227. both seem to want roughly the same about 15 grains give or take a grain.

i load my berry's at 15.5grain with mag primers for the 158 grain bullet. - nice blast, not to much flash.

for a 125grain bullet (nosler semi-jacketed hollow point) i use h110 @ 21.5grains. makes a big bang, you feel the concussion real good.

i've also tried hogdon universal with the berry bullets and there isn't much kick, but a big fireball.

i load those berrys bullets for my 357 magnum using a small federal pistol magnum primer and 14.9 grain of alliants 2400
