In keeping with our current lines of Custom 1911 manufacturers (Nighthawk Custom, Wilson Combat, Les Baer etc..) We have just added Coonan Pistols to our Stable. These beautiful hand made 1911's come in .357 magnum and also accept .38 special. We have ordered several of these stainless steel 1911's and expect to see them in 7-8 months!

How's the grip size? I love 1911s and .357, but I've got pretty small hands, and those look like they might be a bit large.

I am very interested.....i love the digi-cam ! How much of a deposit is required to secure one of these pistols?

Absolutely in......provided...
...don't care about the 'finish'; needs to have additional mags available, right from the get go, to bring it to a seven mag option, otherwise, not so much.
It's a combat handgun; semi auto that eats .38 and .357- treat it as such- extended 9 or 10 round mags would make this a no brainer...
A dream come true, if done right.

this is an interesting piece. I've never considered buying a 1911 as i already have a .45 and the Nighthawk Recon is stupid expensive; but this changes things. This is a cool idea. If you could get this in with enough mags to satisfy the community and spare parts in case things wear out, that would be great. I hate buying a gun that has no support options.

One question i do have: Will the .38 spl spring be included with the package? Or is that a separate option?

Lastly, i assume no, but does this take standard 1911 accessories such as grips?

Standard 357mag or 357 Auto mag?
I'm guessing standard mag since I'm unaware of a 38 Auto special.
I wonder how dirty the chamber would get from firing short 38's in the long 357 chamber.
