If you can find the Federal Premium 357 magnum factory ammunition in the 180 grain Swift A-Frame bullet, it strikes like the "Hammer of Thor".

Manufacturer #P357SA. In a revolver, it's listed at 1130 fps. A 16.25" rifle carbine barrel should run close to 1400-1450 fps. A 20" rifle barrel, even a little better.

The Hornady 180 grain XTP bullet is another thumper to consider. Hornady part #35771. It too can be pushed to the 1450 fps level in a 16" carbine rifle barrel.......:)

If your interested in cast bullets I’m in Center Rawdon.
Hey Snider! Cool to know a gun nut isn't too far away. I guess I don't know much about cast bullets or slugs etc. I have some hornady frontier completely lead rounds 158 round nose. They belong to a buddy in NB but I wasn't sure if where they aren't jacketed/plated etc rounds if it effects accuracy or anything. I'll do some reading up on cast bullets and let you know. I'm sure if you're whacking hants deer with them they'll do fine?
