357 magnum rifles

thinking about the henry big boy, maybe even in 44. are these any good?

I just recently picked up a Bigboy in .357. It is awesome! Buttery smooth action, no failures of any kind after putting 100 .38SPL and 100 .357 down range. This is not a light gun, but the weight absorbs all the recoil. Very accurate. And that deep blue octagonal barrel - gorgeous! You will not regret a Bigboy.

I have had Henry Big Boy's in .357 and .44... they are excellent rifles... very well made and the actions are very smooth... I sold the .357, but will be keeping the .44.

Some folk here hunt deer with that caliber. Their shots are all within 50 yards so its perfect.
:agree:
The 357 Mag ballistics really perk up when the cartridge is fired from a rifle with a sealed chamber as compared to a revolver with a vented cylinder and a much shorter barrel.
My Amadeo Rossi 92 trapper (16" bbl) is fast on target and very accurate.
Great thick brush deer rifle.
