.357 Magnum

I got this question from my Army buddy, and since I'm not too much in the know about handguns, I knew the best place to come and ask this!

"sylvias dad has been looking for a 357magnum, but is having alot of trouble finding one that isnt way too expensive, where should he look?"


I told him I do my shopping on CGN mostly, but I'm not sure if his Gf's dad is computer savvy.

Any retailers that sell for a decent price?

What's "way too expensive" and "decent price"? Are you talking new or used?

You can get a used Smith&Wesson 686 (Stainless) .357 Mag for around $400.00 - $550.00......hek, I've even saw a used S&W 629 Classic .44 Magnum going for $400.00 in good condition, I would have bought it but I already own one.

If you get a revolver make sure its Smith&Wesson, anything else would be uncivilized. .357 Mags are nice, get a used 686 (Top-of-the-line)

Shop around....one will pop up sooner or later, good luck

I've seen lots of Ruger DA & SA .357 revolvers posted in the exchange forums here, and lots of S&W 686's too. I think I've seen used Rugers as low as $500, and used S&W's top out around $700.
