The Frontier bullets which I have used over the past 15+ years were all plated lead bullets (cast and then plated), not cast as implied by Eagleye. The correct size for these in 357 Mag and 38 Spl should be .357". Yes, the norm is often to use lead bullets .001" larger than actual groove diameter, so .358" for a barrel which slugged at .357"
I have only once found Frontier bullets to be way under size, and these were the 200gr bullets intended for 44 Mag (.429"). They measured .428" - .4285". The size which you have found is way under size and I suggest you return these to the dealer, as Frontier should refund the dealer. What weight and shape bullets are you using?
I would like to suggest the following (not trying to insult you):
1) Check the box that the product is actually intended for 38Spl / 357 Mag, and not 9mm (= .355"). Marstar sells Frontier bullets and you could check the product number with them.
2) Check your caliper against a known size. I have four of these which were bought from CanTire, and two of them vary by just over .001" (less than true reading). They are OK for case length, but not for bullet diameter.
3) Use a black marker and draw a line on the blade of the caliper, and then always use this point for measurements. It could result in more consistent readings.
