yes a lever action is way more powerful than a revolver in 357.....with the proper ammo.
If you shot "my rifle loads" out of a hand gun it wouldn't be good. !!

Depending on the load the gains are significant. Especially because rifles dont have a cylinder gap.

That said, when I mentioned 357mag had the same energy of 30-30 at 200yds, I was using Federal's Hammer Down ammo as my basis, which is a 170gr @1610fps specifically for lever action rifles. If you compare it to handgun ballistics it's more like the same energy of 30-30 at 400yds.
