.357 Sig Barrel in MP40 & G22

Hi, anyone has real world experience with the factory .357 barrel(not the OEM conversion barrels) in either MP40 or G22?
I got the 9mm storm lake barrel for MP40 and will do the same for G22. and wondering the same thing for .357 sig.

I read MP40 can just use the factory .357 sig barrel with no issues, not sure if G22 is the same. any concerns as .357 sig would have higher pressure than .40S&W. factory barrels are lot cheaper than the OEM conversion ones even though they all are drop-ins.

I can comment on the M&P...no problem there. I have the .357Sig M&P and also have the .40 barrel which is just a drop in. They interchange and use the same mag...bonus.

I've used one in my .40 P226 with no issues...I've not used it a ton, though. I picked up a 31C slide and barrel for my G22 last week that I hope to try this weekend.

thanks. roughly how many rounds 357 you have done so far with the MP40 and what ammo you use normally? any more noticeable wear on the frame/rail given the pressure?

with p226, do you have to change the slide as well, or just the factory barrel?
for G22, can you just swap the barrel, or you have the change the slide like on p226 normally?

Just a barrel swap with the P226. I think a regular G31 barrel can be used in a G22, but since the 31C is compensated it needs a specific slide.

have a .357 barrel I keep down in Florida for my g23, 500 rounds, no issue. sig 357 feeds great

I can say that I actually fire 9mm most from my M&P (I also have the conversion barrel). I've only shot about 100 rounds of .357 through it and that is factory ammo (Federal). No noticeable wear or impact from what I can see.

I usually use Remington UMC. There is no noticeable wear on the G22. I think the G22 and G31 are essentially the same. Both calibers function flawlessly out of the gun.
