Can't just neck down 40S&W?

I make it from 40 S&W. One trick I found is that when sizing and forming, I don't run the die all the way down to the shell holder. I adjust it so it does not quite touch. This allows the case to headspace on the shoulder and there is less chance of a light strike.

If I had factory 357 brass, I would do the same thing. The case has a shoulder - may as well use it.

When formed from 40S&W, the will be shorter, but it does work.
