In my IPSC Open Gun? 15.2gn H110 behind a 124gn Berrys.
HUGE fireball...... VFLoud too....
Been there...I found SR4756 to be much more calm and flat yet still make power factor easily.
I'm looking for some longshot though for my standard barrel...like to try that one out

Might have to try that... then again, I find it fun when RO's Double plug.....
And if they crowd you just roll the gun over a few degrees...
Nothing like a 10 foot fireball to get someone's attention, lol.
Noise and velocity are very similar between H110 & SR4756 but you run less powder with the SR4756 and the gun feels calmer.
I found that H110 shot flat but it felt like a lot of violence was detonating in my hands every time I touched one off and the SR4756 shot just as flat, made the same power factor, used less powder and it felt like shooting any other pistol- very calm-.
Also SR4756 seems easy to find...H110 not so much.

I have lots of H110.... but an alternate is always welcome!
Funny story, when I first tried open, there was a stage to shoot through a barrel... I stuck my head and shoulders in and touched one off. That..was..a..mistake.
Even double plugs can't fix stupid. OTOH, I do have some video of the SIG barking, and you can see a vertical jet out of the comp 12' high!!!!

I use Hodgdon 800x 8.0gr (8.6gr if I want more aggressive and waist powder), Federal small pistol primers, Campro 147gr bullet (made for 9mm). Can't tell the difference with factory ammo. Pretty sure I am over the power factor but haven't measured it.
