I am waitung for my RPAL to come so to pass the time I go to the range and fire all their range guns. I now know what I want in what caliber. Today as I was shooting, the guy next to me was shooting an open class IPSC in 357 SIG which he let me shoot (I am still smiling). Okay is my question is why would you change out the barrel to make it 357 SIG opposed to the 40 cal? In saying that it was just a cool gun to shoot and I think I might do it just because it was awesome but still competitively what is the reason for the switch?
 
It's a lot of fun to shoot, but don't buy it for your first gun. Buy a gun in .40cal, get a sub cal kit for it in .22, then later you can buy a barrel in 357Sig and one in 9mm, then you have a 4 calibre gun. 357Sig is around $35 a bx of 50 when you can find it. For .22 you can get a box of 500 for $23.
 
Nope not first, the Sig P226 is third on the list but I think when I buy it I will get a barrel and spring to change to the 357 Sig. Just wondering why or if it would be beneficial on a IPSC open class gun or is it just a novelty
 
Compensators work on gas pressure. A bigger capacity case means you can use more slower burning powder and run a more efficient comp.

It makes less sense now with a 160pf.
