I own a Sig226R SS that shoots both and I "have" both barrels. You can get the brass off Ebay and I think Marstar has some as well. I got my Honaday dies from Gobles in London. Just to let you know, because this is a "necked" casing, you can't get them in carbide, so the casings must be lubed before sizing. Also, look up the reloading data on the net, as there is only one or two bullets that are any good for reloading, and they are both hollow point, if memory serves me right...
PS: As I understand it, you can't resize the 40S&W for the 357Sig, as the 40 case is not long enough after sizing...

You can get a carbide set from Dillon, but a little of their spray lube is still needed.
As for resizing .40 to .357, talk to Gunnar at Armco. Keep in mind that as a bottle neck case, it's possible to adjust your dies like a rifle to headspace off the shoulder, not the mouth.

What would be the point of paying extra for carbide dies, if you still have to lube the case????
And I would not waste my time even trying to resize 40SW cases, as Marstar has the 357Sig brass for sale at $39.95 per 1000.

The advantage is longevity and brass life. Steel dies are not as resistant to grit embedding, which will scratch your cases. While the carbide bottle neck dies are expensive, I still consider them a worthwhile investment. You need less lube, and less effort.
Go with carbide dies...if given a choice.

The specs on the case are different, just the same as 45GAP is not simply
shortened 454ACP brass.
If you're going to reload 357Sig, use the designated brass.
