I reload for 9mm and so it makes sense to get .357sig that way I use the same bullets to load both calibres. The down side is factory ammo/ brass availability and cost.:(

If I get a .40 I can use the dies and the bullets to load for 10mm when/ if I get one (always wanted one). But .40 bullets are more expensive than 9mm/.357sig. On the plus side .40 factory cost’s less than .357sig

Differences are minimal... just don't use .40 brass to make .357 brass, your necks'll be too short and watch what 9mm bullets you use. Space (and tension) issues for 'sloped' rounds.

Not sure exactly what firearm you are looking for, but many 357sig and 40 platforms allow for a bbl swap without even changing springs. Same mags too. Buy a 40 and pick up a 357 bbl. Then you can convince the wife that you'll have to spend a lot of time doin a lot of 'testing' (in order to save $$ of course)

Good plan to get the 2 barrels for the same gun, then you can change as needed, Lee makes dies for the 357Sig, there are some people selling brass here, 357Sig is pricey but a fun and accurate round. I have seen people leave their brass behind because they don’t reload, I have about 50 casings which I will keep for when I get my .40cal Sig.
