358 blr

Digger2: Who did you get to do your BLR trigger work? I'm still hunting for a Canadian gunsmith who will do such work.

My research of the BLR in general reveals that the primary complaint is the factory triggers.

That has been my experience with the new unit I acquired this year. Very impressed with the other attributes.
(Mine is in .308 Win).

358 win compared to the 35 whelen???

I wish I could get a whelen in the BLR.

Buy a 30-06 and have the barrel reamed to 35 Cal. That would make a dandy Whelen

I have one for sale if you are interested. It is the stainless laminated model. With RCBS dies for 800 shipped.

I have only put two boxes through it. Great gun but I always seem to go for my Abolt when hunting.

I have had one in 358 for 20 years or so. Prefer 225 gr bullets. It's a little slower then the 35 Whelen, but handier too. I prefer my Savage 99's, but that's just a personal thing. It is a great game cartridge no matter the platform, and a handy lever gun makes it very easy to use. - dan
