358 STA vs 358 STW

What’s the difference between the two?
I thought 7 STW and 358 STA were from 8 rem mag.
But 358 STW??
Was buying a reamer and the 2 were there...

You had me curious so I did a quick Google search. Couldn’t find any reference to the .358 STW. I think it’s just naming confusion since they are both based ont the 8mm Rem Mag and the 7mm version is called the 7mm STW (Shooting Times Westerner). The .358 version is called the .358 STA (Shooting Times Alaskan). Guess it doesn’t explain why they have reamers for both?

I've built a couple STA's. There is a slight (very slight) case capacity increase over the base 7 STW/8 Rem Mag case. I assume that a 358 STW would just be the 7 STW brass necked up, no changes. Have never seen one though, so it is just an assumption. - dan
