Righto. I just bought myself a birthday present, a ruger M77 in .358 win from Clay at prophet river.

Have plenty of load data for rifle speeds,
Wondering if anyone has a source, or a good starting point, for reduced loads using 150-180g flat nose pistol bullets,
Have several what I think are suitable powders, trailboss, H4198, Varget, BLC, and N120 &. N133,
Any help would be Great, plinking load, or short range small game.

You have a most excellent and beautiful rifle in a fine chambering!

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook (3rd ed.) has load data using various fast burn rate powders that should be adaptable to jacketed bullets. I get excellent results with Blue Dot and Hornady 158gr 38 caliber (0.357") bullets.

I use 14.0 grains of Trail Boss under 158 Cast FN gas checked bullets @ 2.500" for light plinking... buy them in thousand count boxes. I have the same rifle... they are very nice rigs.
