Hi guys & gals, I need a little help. Does anyone know where I can buy some factory .358 Winchester cartridges? They seem to be unavailable from the dealers I know about... any help is appreciated. Cheers

Wholesale sports in Saskatoon had some last fall--haven't been in for quite a while so don't know if they still have any. What are you shooting it in?

No, and I have been singularly unimpressed with Winchester factory ammunition anyways.

The 358 Winchester never has a chance to really hit its stride if you don't reload. Better yet, it is an easy cartridge to reload for and reloading also gives it an awful lot of versatility.

Here's a few loads that go out hunting in the East Kootenays every year:

Uhh... nothing too fancy, a bush gun my old man gave me at Christmas. It's a Browning BLR pre-'81 (steel receiver). Perfect to throw on my back for overnight bush camping or whatnot, might hunt with it someday.

Re: Wholesale - I'll call that location directly and see if they have any cartridges left. Cheers

Oh yeah, great picture above, thanks indeed!

Ewww... the East Kootenay?! You gotta' live in the West Kootenay to know 'what's what' :p. Just ribbin' you, best damned area in Canada in my opinion. Flathead eh... bet we know some of the same people.

Yes yes, reloads for sure. I have dies, factory .358 brass and some necked-up .308's. I am glad you told me factory offerings are unimpressive. I had planned on using them in my bush gun for predator defense while camping, etc. Screw it, I'll load my own and trust my skills. Still wouldn't mind getting a box or two though... cheers.

I bought a couple boxes a few months ago at the south Canadian Tire in Red Deer. Dont knw if they will ship, but give em a call. 200 gr winchester factory loads. Just remembered that westside stores in Salmon Arm had a box or two whe i was out that way last summer. They were pretty dusty, may have been there a while, give them a shout too.
