I have an issue that a man from Nosler told me was no issue! max. case lgth of a 22-250 rem case is 1.912" and trim to length is 1.902" The Nosler 35gr Varmageddon bullet is .520" long.Mr Nosler is saying to seat this bullet to coal 2.350" (Std. 22-250 rem Coal) My calculation leaves only .072" Grip! Who in there right mind would only seat a bullet .072 into a case mouth? Has anyone else ran into this? I would guess to seat to near Cal..224" depth grip but thats only my guess, call me old school if you want.

That sure seems too shallow. I would want to see about 0.20"

That is a very light bullet for a 22-250. Severe wind drift and fast velocity loss. I load my 22-250s with the heaviest bullets they can handle - usually a 60 gr flat base HP.

I'd seat at least 2/3 of a caliber of bullet shank/neck contact. In this case, .150" inside the neck. Approx OAL 2.28"

I believe this bullet is designed for the 22 Hornet. Might not perform great @ 22-250 velocity
