35mm Lapping bar

I'm having a lapping bar made for 35mm scope rings based on the design of the one pictured in Brownells. Can anyone suggest to what tolerances the bar should be turned or ground ?

It isn't all that critical. You can turn it on a lathe. You should be able to get it within a thou or two of 35mm.
