.36 Cal Navy percussion revolver

Several years ago, I was gifted this revolver with the understanding that it needed work. The obvious problems were 2 missing screws: the loading lever screw and the screw that secures the wedge. When Buck started to dismantle the gun, we found that all the screws had been locktited! One screw was destroyed when the mill had to be used. The gun is now apart and needs parts. Is there a Canadian supplier for parts??

PS: What do you call the part that locks the cylinder when cocked????
 
What brand revolver?

If Uberti or Pietta, may be able to order parts through Rusty Wood Trading, in Mission B.C. Likewise: Country Classics Shooting Supplies, in Alberta. In the US: Numrich or VTI. With VTI being the most common source. Possibly even through Taylor's & Company. Numrich, VTI and Taylor's, all ship to Canada.

If made by Armi san Marco, VTI would be your best bet.

The part is called the cylinder locking bolt. Some schematics simply refer to it as the: bolt.

Info, the one screw that secures the wedge for these open top revolvers really are not 100 percent necessary for firing IF you have a properly fitted wedge.
It should require a few taps from a brass or plastic faced mallet or hammer to secure it. And a narrow non steel tool to push it outwards from the opposite side, when you desire to take it apart.
With many open top Colt and Colt copies, this is often the very first part actually missing from an otherwise operational revolver.

Edit: if it is missing its prudent to bring that brass faced mallet to the firing range, in case the wedge loosens itself upon discharge of several rounds.

Thank you for the info, Al. The revolver is not branded, just this: .36 Cal. Navy model Made in Italy. And proof marks, of course! I'm thinking Armi San Marco

Is that scammer still in business? He’s had a bad rep for years. !!!
 
oldrodder: Dakotamar is correct. The maker's cartouche etc., on the underside of the barrel will be hidden by the loading lever. If: ASM, etc. ...this indicates Armi San Marco. If DGG(usually in a triangle), this would be Armi San Paolo.

Al, I ordered a bunch of parts last night from VTI. A lot of parts are no longer available! Hopefully, this will get the old girl shooting!
