I have casted and loaded lots of lead bullets in various cartridges but never in the 9.3x62, I have an excellent load with a jacketed bullet for it but I'm looking for some info from fellas that shoot cast for this cartridge.
Got a bunch of reloading books but nothing on the .366 Wagner, I will be shooting a 285 grains plain base bullet, powder coated and pan lubed.
Any experience shared will be appreciated.
Thanks.

While I designed the 2 cast bullets shown below for my 9.3x57 M98-based Husqvarna rifles, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they work equally as well in my Husqvarna 649 9.3x62, although the bullets must be seated below the neck/shoulder junction by ~0.050" in that case. Since I wanted them for hunting, I designed them to have a ~70% meplat & the ability to be crimped in place.
I have had the best results with the 360 grain bullets with WC735 & W760. They both run ~2,000 fps. For the 285 gr. bullets in the '57, I simply load WC735, IMR4320, RL15 or Varget to shoot to the iron sights, although I have filed down the rear sight to a more open wide V & replaced the front sight with a large flip-up night bead on the rifle that is not drilled & tapped.
The nice thing about the 9.3's, at least those manufactured by Husqvarna, is their relatively slow rate of twist of 1:14", which allows for a relatively high velocity without exceeding the cast bullets' twist rate's RPM threshold.
My alloy is a mix of old COWW, linotype, monotype, stereotype, with extra tin & antimony & I water-quench directly from the 5 gang moulds for 24 hours, then lube with X-lox. I do not size the bullets.

All these guys buyin' cheap 9.3x57 guns will have to reload, pretty much.

Maybe, maybe if they are lucky they can get factory ammo or not ?

On the bright sight these are mostly solid guns with shot out bores, questionable stocks and can be used for parts on a old 96 in 6.5x55.

Or something rather...
