As noted the Weaver T36 scopes are no longer available. They are a good quality scope that can be found on the previously owned market at reasonable prices. The Sightron SII 36X scope is still available and now many dealers have it for better prices than a year ago. They too appear from time to time on the EE. Another good scope is the Sightron SIIB Big Sky 36X scope. Although it has been discontinued by the manufacturer for about five years, it occasionally is available used and it is probably the best of the three mentioned.

All these scopes have adjustable objectives. The Weaver T36 and Sightron Big Sky scopes were both available with fine crosshair and target dot reticles. The Sightron SII, the only one still available new, has a .125 MOA target dot reticle. Some shooters have a preference of one reticle over another. I've had both and prefer the target dot, but that is my own choice. I've had all three scopes and can say that each one does a good job for BR shooting with .22LR (I'm uncertain what is meant by "RV 50&100 meters"). Although I no longer have all three models, I still have two Big Sky 36X scopes.

Trace Scope Repair in Calgary does a nice job on Weavers. - dan

Good to know if i ever have problems with mine.

I have had seven or eight scopes repaired by trace. Twice Phil manufactured parts to complete the job for me. One time he made a custom reticle, and recently he turned new aluminum end caps for the ocular and objective lenses on a badly damaged scope.

Two-tone kind of looks neat on that old Weaver. ;)

I've had a few done as well, with good success. One that had a rotating reticle (a swfa 10x) that rotated again after, but that's not his specialty anyway. - dan
