370 Yards with a 22LR

Guys are often debating what we can hit with our 22LR at extended ranges.

These are the top 15 shooters from a match over the weekend. It was a 12 round stage and nobody cleaned it, but five guys (not the burger joint... ha ha) got 11 hits, that's impressive.

Had to fire 12 shots in under 2 minutes with one mag change.

Winds were around 8-12 mph.

I'm not certain how big the target was, I'll have to confirm that, but I'm guessing it was about 18 inches or so square.

In case you are wondering, the drop was about 22.5 MILS up from a 50 yard zero. (75.9 MOA)

Nice. Eleven out of twelve is not bad, especially with wind. If the target is in fact 18"X18" square, that's an almost 92% hit rate at a target that's somewhere between nearly 4.9 MOA and nearly 6.9 MOA.

Strelok tells me 370 should be 19.92MIL. (68.4 MOA, 265" drop) that is extrapolating from the confirmed 330 I have with Lapua Center-X.

This would have been an amazing match to shoot or watch. The biggest in Canada for sure!

Here is a link to my facebook for the earlier Battle Hill match this year and I bet this one was even better!

I was an RO for Squad 5 and totally impressed with the great shooting abilities of my crew.

It was challenging, but once you dialed things in, people were rocking this stage. Get off yer backsides and come on out to the CRPS matches...

Cheers, Barney
