I was looking at the A-Bolt when I was purchasing a 375; I decided against it. The butt area is small (as mentioned by SuperCub), which increases the pounds per square inch impact on your shoulder. The gun is also light compared to other 375s, which will reduce recoil dampening from gravity. One guy I talked to that has one said that the Remington factory ammo smashed the mag to pieces; he siad the ammo was too long, but the mag was aslo most likely just barely big enough to do the job. My boss also had an A-Bolt mag just fall apart in his hands when he went to put it in his rifle last deer season; luckily he had an extra.
I decided against the A-Bolt and actually went to a Ruger #1H stainless since there were no other mid ranged priced lefty 375s out there. I may be getting rid of it if I can ever get my hands on one of the new CZ 550's though.
