I know there are atleast two of you on here who have a rifle chambered in this caliber.

Where do you find dies and load data?

What sort of twists and bullet weights do you run?

I'm thinking my build is going to be based on a win mod 70, and I'm looking for advice. I don't really need another big rifle, but I figure this is actually a fairly practical caliber.

Thanks guys.

1in 10, rcbs makes dies as do some others, 270gr hornady at 2650-2700, and Mine loved the 300gr hornady a just over 2500fps in a 21" tube

I didn't find much info on this cartridge on a trip through Google. It sounds like it is simply a .300 / .338 / .458 Win Mag necked to .375. Is that correct? How does it differ from the .375 Ruger in performance? It looks like they both can use a standard length action and a standard .532" magnum bolt face, so neither has an advantage there.

Yes, but. A way back when, we used to read stories by Chatfield Taylor, hunting in the then little known famous hunting areas of the great Canadian rocky mountains and these stories were printed in the most popular of all the famous, glossy sporting magazines, Outdoor Life, when it's montly circulation was some 2.5 million.
Of course, that makes the 375 Chatfield Taylor a superior calibre!

The Ruger has a bit more case capacity and therefor a bit more velocity, but performance between the 375 Ruger, H&H and CT are very similar.

The Ruger has factory ammo available, and factory brass with the correct headstamp.

I was looking at building a .375 CT when the Ruger came out and I decided the RUger was the better option for me.
