.375 club, you in?

Thought about getting a 376 Steyr as well, but my CZ550 FS, or ZG47 both in 9.3x62 (yep one of the few in the world that have one of these) kinda win. Got a BRNO ZKK 602 in 375H&H as well but she be a bit heavy to carry around.

I'm a bit of a Scout rifle junkie (and a Gunsite graduate), and I don't see myself hunting in Africa....so the .376 was a great fit when I found myself moving back to Alberta. It's a nice light weight medium that offers all the lovely handling of my .308 Steyr scout, but with enough extra horsepower to handle larger critters. It's also my first (and only) medium bore. Only time will tell if it's a gateway drug.

I'm in. I also have Win. M70 push feed. Got my first Bison with it. Sold it, thinking i needed a controlled round feed. Bought a CZ550 375 H&H , love that gun, BUT yearned for the Winny. Took 2 years to buy it back. Also have Ruger #1 375 H&H Tropical, and AHEM ( in tiny letters and words) 375rugeralaskan. Note: it is the one i grab to do the work when the weather is plain ugly.
Wanted to add 375-303 #4 Mark1 enfield

I have a really nice 375 JP sauer and sons model 90 in excellent shape with a cracked stock. Anyone know what i could get for it?

I owned a Brno 602 .375 H&H but traded it and some other good rifles, plus some cash, for a Fanzoj drilling, 12x12 over .375 H&H. But then I lucked onto a custom-stocked British W.J. Jeffery .375 - 2.85" (.375 H&H) magazine rifle, so I sold the drilling to buy the Jeffery. It is on its way to me now. I'll post pictures when it arrives.

Here’s my contribution. Sako fiberclass that came off the EE a few years back. It was well used and had an after market recoil pad that wasn’t well fitted. Shot OK with a couple loads but was a bit fussy, wouldn’t shoot heavies.
I had Dennis at go-ballistic crown and bed it, and he cerakoted her up. I had a blaze orange kick eez that I was going to use, but chickened out and went with red. It now shoots like you’d expect a Sako to, with 300 grain np’s in a cloverleaf.C220E4F1-9E51-46C0-924B-F56031EE3BAC.jpg

I'm in with three.

The first is a CZ 550 that I rebarrelled to .375 Weatherby. The original H&H barrel got shot-out in 14 months, but I got 3 safaris out of it in that time. I was working on the theory that the best way to learn how to shoot an H&H fast was to shoot an H&H fast. ;)Turns out that might have been abuse but it was a lot of fun. I put a Gentry M70 3 position safety on, and changed the set trigger out for standard single stage.

The next is a Remington 700 out of the Custom Shop. I've actually owned this one twice. I've hunted 4 continents with it, and it has 9 buffalo on it. All with 270 grain A-Frames. Stock is at least 90% purty.

Next up is a M70 Alaskan. It weighs a tiny bit less than my M70 Super-grade feather-weight in .270, which sort of makes a person feel like carrying it on ordinary hunts. Trajectory with 235s is about the same as 300 win or other run of the mill Magnums out to 500. That sort of makes a guy feel like taking it hunting too.

I don’t have a .375 but would love an ELR (Extreme Long Range) rifle in .375 CheyTac one day... for those of you who are wondering this video says it all.

Had one for awhile, 408 Tac Stiller action McMillan A5 stock, 30" truck axle barrel, Jewel and Night Force, Pain killer brake. Weighed 22 pounds. Shooting it was an event, and it was deathly hard on my targets. I lost what was going to be a bonifide use for it, and there hasn't been a pressing need since to shoot something that far away that needed to hit that hard.

I figure a Cheytac in a sporter would be awesome. ;)

My newest is a 375RUM
I was not really looking for one. But a gun shop had a used one. Rem xcr11 that was on consignment with dies 100 brass and bases for a price I could not say no too.
Threw a 3-9x40 CDS Leupold on her and it shoots lights out. 250gr barnes ttsx into less than a inch.
Granted she has some kick with 100gr of powder but I kind of like recoil.
Took it bighorn hunting this year. It is lighter than a RUM should be but it packs up the mountain nice. And well im in the camp of it can’t be too dead, but it can be not dead enough.
I think i have owned every imaginable 375 cal and this one shoots the best. Boy does it hammer game.
And its not so pretty your worried about it in a saddle scabbard.

I really like the 375 cal have a 21" T/C Contender barrel in 375 Win, 14" and 21" T/C Contender barrels in 375JDJ also have a shortened to 22" T/C Prohunter and a 24" barreled Rem 700 XCR 11 in 375 H&H but the ultimate is my 375RUM it is an awesome cartridge mine is a Rem 700 LSS I shortened the barrel to 21" load 260gr Accubonds @ 3020fps, 300gr @ 2800fps and 350gr @ 2450fps.

I shot my B&C grizzly with 300gr Partitions.

Unfortunately the 375RUM is just to much for most shooters especially those that spew their love of the 375 Ruger... :dancingbanana:

How do you guys with the hot 375’s keep them off your forehead? My H&H weighs 9 pounds and I got a light tag from a sitting position the other day, 300 grain load. I’ve got 4+ inches of eye relief.

I’d suggest that you may want to use a more upright shooting position, if you’re hunched forward sitting at the bench you may be crawling forward on the stock. Perhaps also a bit more length of pull in your stock, or less drop. 4 inches of eye relief on a scope doesn’t help if your eye is still 2 inches from the scope. Were you holding the fore end tightly? Otherwise try shooting with iron sights or a red dot until you figure out what works for you to control the muzzle rise.

I install an extension front scope ring here is my shortened to 22" T/C Prohunter in 375H&H with a 3/4" extension front ring and my 20" barreled 45-70 with a 1/2 extension front ring.

Can I play to?? I have a Winchester 94 xtr in .375 Winchester, it was my grandfathers rifle. Ammo is tuff to find so I’m going to reload, just need some recipes.
