.375 group is officially open now.

Ok, I'll play. Here's my Interarms Mark X .375 H&H I just bought it from a member here. I had the VX III 1.5-5 and quick release rings kicking around so I threw them on. Sighted it in at the range with some Federal blue box 300gr ammo last weekend. Very happy with it so far.

Old picture Win model 70 Safari Express

Very nice!! :) Nice clean lines. I like that. In post #6, I posted a photo of my two 375's, one of which is 'somewhat similar' to yours.

The top one is my Winchester model 70 Super Express in 375 H&H. The second one below it, is a custom item, based on a Remington 700 action and chambered in 375 Chatfield Taylor.

I have a M70 stainless classic in a mcmillan with ptg one piece bottom metal. Very accurate but the 24" no. 5 barrel is a pig. Been planning to rebore and chop to a 416 rem, or maybe a 458 of some sort. Undecided. Or trade for something similar. Any ideas?

I've got that covered with this 7lb 21" rem 700 in a 375 h&h. No Ruger but pretty close. I agree that a number 3 would have been perfect, especially @ 22" and under.
I'd like to keep the same barrel contour so it "fits" with the existing stock, so a rebore was my first consideration

Here is a picture of Tia Shoemakers thoughts on the subject. Now I know she is a girl, but I wonder if she has more real bear experience than everyone on this thread combined. Laughing.

Bore that sucker out to 45 and be happy.

disapointed that she is not more using her 375 ruger ... she has unique experience for big brown bear ... Taj the boy and brother (a very good pilot also) used a 35 whelen even in Kodiak. need to ask him what he is using those days ...

I think i would pay to your rifle collection, and the trophy! you ever want to part with the stainless model 70 let me know

Thanks Buckbrush!

An old wore-out bush buck that was victim to the 375H&H. I sure like this little m700 package with the 21" barrel. I would be even more versatile with a 2.5-8 x36
