I picked up a Browning A-bolt II Stainless Stalker with Boss in .375 H&H. I should be receiving it in a couple of weeks. I bought it on the EE. I'm looking forward to trying it out on moose next fall. I think I'm going to top it with a Vari-X III 1.5 x 5. It should be able to make'em lay down with some authority....bangflop.

While you are waiting for it, you might want to order a better pad for it. Those factory pads are cut from hockey pucks.

I had one. I was a good shooter. It lives in the Yukon now.

I'm sure I'll be investing in the BOSS CR before next hunting season. I currently own a Composite Stalker in .270 Win and my ears were almost bleeding after shooting that in the bush. I upgraded to the CR real quick.

The 375 H&H is not that bad to shoot in and of itself. It is the stock design, weight and the way you hold it that makes more of a difference

The VXIII 1.5x5 is a fantastic scope, no doubt about it, but the .375 wants to spread the love at 200 and even 300 yards. Think about moving to a 2-7 or even (gasp!) a 3-9.

Re: recoil, compared to the various .416s and .458s the H&H is a pussycat, don't let anyone worry you about it;-)
