Hi guys I've got all the manuals but can't seem to locate good data for these two bullet weights. For powders on hand I have Varget, RL 19, IMR 3031, IMR 4138, and H4198, but I have a feeling this big ol' case is going to require me to get something along the lines of H4350 or RL 22... Tx!

I have had good luck in the past with 3031 and 235gr Speers.

BTW ....The 235gr Speers were designed for deer size game at 375H&H velocities. I would'nt use them on moose. Other light bullets may be the same.

Over the years I've experienced similar problems, on occassion. The main problem was trying to have a minimum number of powders that would 'do it all'. Didn't work for me. I've recently started reloading for my 375, and for the two bullet weights you've mentioned, if you want to use one powder for both, take a look at IMR 4895, IMR 4064 and/or RX15.

My 602 in 375 has it's best accuracy with 260 Accubond with 73gr RL 15 or 77gr W760 which is very nice from a powder measure. At 100 yds. this rifle shoots a 3/8 group with 75gr IMR 4350 300 gr Hornady RN and COAL of 3.750". Have fun experimenting!

Varget/RL15 are the best powders for most bullet weights

lots of data on the internet if you look on the powder manu's sites :)

Thanks guys! Sheesh, these babies sure drink the ol' powder... it's like the Hummer of the centerfire world...

That's what I called my 500 S&W, The 'Hummer'. The Hum V would be the top of the SUV 'food chain', like the 500 is to the world of handguns.
I've recently received a custom made 375 H&H and will probably be using IMR 4320 & IMR 4350.
