Finally got around to taking some nice photos of my rifle. Lots of family history to it, from the late 1950s and when I took possession it didnt have a proper recoil pad. I himmed and hawwed at maybe buying a .404 Jeffrey which I may still do. But after getting some work done on it, I quite happy how she turned out.
Work was done by Gary Flach locally and couldnt be happier, the stock came out great. There was great character in the stock I didnt even know was there till the sanding and oil started. Had an inner crack in the stock at the trigger aswell which was glassed. A perfect grinded red recoil pad, and its ready for any adventure I can throw at it.
And its sporting QRW rings, warne bases which make it possible to still use the factory irons. Other bases covered up the line of sight required. Couldnt be happier with it. Since searching for the "right" double rifle to keep it company
A spring bear may run out of luck because Ive got a hankering to take it out.
