.375 H&H magnum recoil?

As stated by Camp Cook the info is in the Kick-eez package. This makes me wonder
if there was any Bias, as the absorbtion #s are so much higher than the others.
I wonder if Kick-eez paid for the test.
Can anyone else jump in on the recoil absorbing % #s on these.
I am just questioning.

A 375 isn't a big deal. Just get a decent recoil pad, and if possible, shoot it from a standing rest. Hunched over a bench, leaning into the rifle, and you'll notice for sure. My 375 isn't any worse than a buddy's light-weight, 7lbs 30-06.

Slugs, well, that's a whole different game. 107ft/lbs of recoil for my last bunch had me dazed and confused and bruised and full of adrenaline. Made for quite the afternoon. After shooting those things the 375 is nothing.

So long story short, it's not bad, you get used to it.

my 375 is 8lb 8oz scope in. easier to shoot than my t3 in 338 less snappy. you will know you shot it but if your wearing a sissy pad at the range its a pussy cat. no point in being beat up. offhand the body gives more and you roll with the recoil. like a big shove.

I went to the Kick-eez site and the absorbtion #s were right there.
How can a recoil pad absorb over 90% of recoil?
Are they trying to say that a 375 will feel like a 22LR.
I must be missing something.

Oh how does one explain to those that have never tried these recoil pads?

There is nothing like them on the market and no it doesn't feel like a 22LR...

I have a kick-eeze on my Brno 602 in .375 and it's for sale along with the original pad so the buyer can compare for himself. The Kick-eeze makes a great difference but mine has a crack in it after 50 rounds.

No I haven't tried one, only had the old hard rubber on the end.
I would like to understand the numbers. please explain.
I will have to try them, it sounds like a 300, 338, or 375 would feel about the same as a 270 or maybe 30-06 at the most. I am just sceptical when I see those big #s.
Does 90%+ absorbtion equate to 20% less felt recoil, 30% less, or more?

Thats weird I have had about 10 of these pads over the last 15 years and never had an issue with any of them other than cutting a corner of one when I closed my hard gun case onto it.

Guys if you do not believe me I really don't care one way or the other I know they work better than anything else if you want to continue beating yourselves by all means continue... :p

Camp Cook I am not trying to discredit you in any way. I am sorry,, I just haven't tried any of them, and wonder how the numbers work vs other recoil pads. I plan on putting a recoil pad on my next gun, as I want it very light weight to pack around all day.

Didn't take it that way at all I've just gotten to the point where if people don't believe that these pads are not only good but the best on the market stay with the pad of your choice.

I do not install them on light recoiling rifles like my 6mm-284/280 Rem/30-06 I don't need them on these kinds of guns I install them on 300 Win Mag's/308NM's/300RUM/375RUM/45-70's/Contender carbines in 375JDJ & 45-70 etc...

Just counted I have 11 of these pads on my rifles now.

I have a 30-06 with an old thin rubber pad. The recoil doesn't bother me a bit.
How do you think the 300, win, wby or rum, or a 338 would feel with one of these pads in comparison, to an 06 without. The original poster should also be interested in this as
the question was,,, 375 H&H magnum recoil?

I know it would be your own subjective opinion, but having 11 of them I think you are qualified, to compare.

It is almost impossible to say that a 300RUM now feels like a 30-06 what I can say is that I used to shoot a Sako Hunter 1V in 375H&H after 10 shots with 300gr Partitions @ 2500fps my shoulder knew it was being slammed and didn't like it.

I switched too my first Kick-Eez pad and I was able to shoot that same rifle as many times as I felt like and did not have a sore shoulder you can feel the butt stock push thru the pad material as it spreads the recoil out over a larger area kind of an interesting feeling actually.

I now shoot a 300RUM with 200gr bullets @ 3250fps and a 375RUM with 260gr bullets @ 3030fps or 300gr bullets @ 2750fps other than my pocket book shooting 40 rounds is nothing to shoot in a day.

I shoot 375 with heavy loads and do not find it kicks more than my 338 wm.
Stock is a big thing.I have a HS on my 375 and a Brown Pre. on the 338.Both rifles were quite brutal with the factory wooden stocks. With the comp. stocks they are both very easy to shoot. The 338 wm still has more felt recoil than the 375 H+H.

I find the 375 more pleasent to shoot than the 338.

The only exception was the day my double 375 managed to double on me.

I don't know about "snot bubbling" but "snot extracting" sounds about right.

I never thought the 375 H&H was a hard kicker...My 375 Ruger is about 8lbs with a Pachmayer Decelerator pad and I can shoot it all day.

Good stock + good recoil pad and you are laughing.;)

Last year a friend gave me a limbsaver which fits my Ruger 30-06. I never gave it a thought untill last night when I pulled it out, after reading here, and with a little work on the screw hole alignmnet, I installed it. The recoil of the 06 is not an issue, but the lop sure felt much better for me with the extra 1/2" or so. If my next elk/moose gun ends up
being a 300 mag of sorts or a 338, I look forward to trying the kick-eez, as I am going for light weight to carry all day.

Just think how much more pleasant it would be if you installed the King of all recoil pads...

All Hail the King...... :p
