Got a 375 H&H during the winter and decided it was time to do some load testing before hunting season. Had a box of 270 gr Matrix bullets and 8 lbs of IMR 4831 so I figured this was a good powder to start with. I was using using 5 rounds per powder charge and then increasing the charge.

Got to the range and realized I FORGOT MY LEADSLED but figured I'd see how long I could go.

I shot 30 rounds before I decided my shoulder had enough for one day ..... but on a positive note I was seeing some sub MOA groups at 100 yards, MOA at 200 yards and was hitting steel at 300 yards with ease.

I think Im really going to like this caliber .. although it gets a bit expensive to feed and I wont do that much target practice again without my leadsled!

Yep, 375 can thump a little on the bench....was helping stepson work up a load couple weeks back. Bruises are almost gone...

What rifle?
Just me maybe, but if wood stocked (or even if not) I would sure be reluctant to confine it in a lead sled....

I'm having the best luck with H4350 in my Montana .375 and 15-20 rounds is about it for me for one session, groups open up after that and its not the rifle. I don't use a lead sled.
