375 H&H with 300gr Sierra SPBT and H4350

Anyone tried this? How about H4350 with 250Gr TSX. I've got lots of this powder, seems to be good at the top end according to the manuals.
I tried H4350 with the 300gr Sierra. The best I could do was a 3 shot 1" group out of my BRNO 602 in 375H&H. 76grs of H4350 had the best result for me.

I used to use 300 gn Sierras and IMR 4350 in a couple of my old 602s. Worked OK but I found the Sierra bullet wouldn't hold together when shooting game under 100 mtrs..........this was 35 years ago though when the Sierra 300 first came out. The combo was very accurate and had good velocity though.

H4350 works well in the 375's but the load will be heavily compressed if you're going to be expecting upper tier velocity. Accuracy has been good for me

Roger. I picked up a pound of 4064, already got some Varget, and H4350, 270 Speers, and 250GMXs so enough to get started. Off to work for several weeks so will have to wait to experiment.

I have found with 270 gn bullets that RL 15 is absolute magic.......Highest velocity and sub moa groups with 270 gn TSX bullets......might want to give it a try, if you can find any..........

The factory blue box Federal 300 gr shot very well for me. I've reloaded the brass with IMR4064/Varget/H4350 under 270gr Speer BTSPs. I'll try to hit the range early for accuracy testing and maybe chrono a few. R17 seems very close to H4350, my loads are compressed a bit, I'll see.

Got very good velocities this morning. H4350 is too slow burning, can't get enough in under a 270gr. I might try 300gr after I shoot my Speer 270 stash. Hard to argue with the BTSP ballistics though, compares to my 30-06 with 150SST. Just had to see H4350 for myself since I have a lot.

No pressure signs that I can see with any of the powders, still within the Hornady manual loads... Varget was the best for me, IMR4064 not far behind. Accuracy still hard to call, my "bench" position is still in progress. Got a good splinter out of the tang of the Boyd's laminate and into my thumb. Hazards of the 375 I guess, I must be healthy enough because it clotted during the walk to the targets. Offhand chrono shots were no issue recoil wise, without experiencing it I was not sure if it would bother me.

Yes, I didn't post velocities. I will probably load down a bit with IMR4064 for practice to prolong the brass life. The loads were all within the manual and showed no pressure signs. Only chronoed 2 rnds/load so not a big sample, just enough to give me an idea. I don't want to lead someone astray, or suffer the wrath of the internet police. If you want to know to give you insight into your own load development PM me.

I had REALLY good luck with RL15 and 260 accubonds and 270 speers. I haven't had a chance to try out the old 300gr Winchester Silver Tips yet though. I found some W760 for those.

I'm pretty sure that's the combination that Charlie used in RSA. Worked well for him.
