So far this winter we've had 4.46 meters of snow here in Saint John. That 14.63 feet of snow so far this winter and there was hardly any on the ground 1/2 way through Jan.

My brother lived in Prince George, BC for years he now lives in tropical Darwin, Australia.

They moved there because they needed a break from the snow = the last winter they were there the area had an accumulation 25' of snow.

When they move back to BC they are moving back into the Fraser Valley.

It's awfully populated and smoggy. There are more pleasant places, such as on the island, but there are a great many worse places.

I'd never move to the island = I feel closterfobic when I'm there give me the mainland anyday.

Maybe there are more pleasant places in BC, but for me I'm 10 minutes from a superb Cancer Clinic and right now thats very important...

Our special place is a nice little cabin on a lake in the Cariboo and up until about three years ago the plan was to move up there, how things can change.

I worked in Kitimat this year for several months. The summer? Gorgeous...scenery, fishing, hiking...it was heaven!

Then fall came...and it started to rain...and it DIDN'T STOP!!!! The most relentless, non-stop, days-long rain I have ever seen, totally depressing and demoralizing. Yes, you folks have a magnificent province, a joy to the senses...when you can see it...but personally, I'll take snow and cold over rain every time.

Give me a Manitoba winter!
