.375 rifle - which is best?

It’s a sweetheart, she’s only 175fps behind the .375 H&H and Ruger at 235grs with H4895 and no pressure signs. Sure there are other powders that will push the magnums further ahead but I load everything with H4895 these days and that’s simply enough performance for what I need; lightweight Grizzly work rifles.

300fps, but it has 4” more barrel too. Indeed, she’s a 9.3x62 ballistically with .375 bullets and accepts long pointy ones in the mag easier. Struggled to adopt the 9.3 when CEB sends free .375s, and just a lot more bullet options at .375... cross pollination with my H&Hs. #justifications :d

:)Thanks again. If possible, any chance of seeing load info and results on paper?? Just curious. I've punched a bit of paper with my two 375's but looking forward to ;) 'playing' with them in the field. :( The years seem to be flying by these days so I'd best move that up in the 'bucket list'.

I think life is to short to be grumpy all the time, so get your favourite gun, head to the range and the woods, and have some fun!

Extra points if your favourite gun is chambered in 375 Ruger! :dancingbanana:

Thanks for the in depth load info. Any target results on paper? My load info is much more;), limited in scope. Done some initial testing using IMR 4046, IMR 4350 and IMR 4320 with a small selection of bullet brands and weights.

Thanks guy:). It's been good chatting and again, thanks for all the info. Much appreciated. I'll have to get into some serious accuracy load tests and development, with both my 375 H&H and the 375 CT. :)Be safe out there.

Opps, almost forgot to mention. Not too long ago, close by in Crofton, there was a guy producing custom bullets. He went by the name of Martix Ballistics Ltd. and I 'think' they may be located in Delta B.C. now. In 375, I have some of his 300gr FBRN and in 290gr, some Bonded. And, for the 9.3, ;) ".366 Wagner" I have some 290gr FB Bonded. Time to get my butt in gear and do some more testing:).

I wouldn’t want to go any further. To me your confused, at times nearly incoherent and strait outa left field ramblings had me thinking drugs, a lack of drugs or a slow slide into senility. Gatehouse is right though, your posts are pretty much just yapping, your suggestions and advice is nearly always paraphrased from some other poster in the same thread. Keep that pst count up though

How does one define best? Highest velocity? That would be the .378 Weatherby or, if you want to think outside the box, a .375 Cheytac. If you want the best accuracy, it would be whichever cartridge you chamber in a rifle tweaked toward accuracy. If you want the easiest to carry, a traditional lever action rifle chambered for the .375 Winchester or the similar .38-55 tops the list, but these aren't in the same class as the big case .375s, but perhaps they're enough. If you want proven performance, the .375 H&H might be best, and is certainly the one all others are compared to. If you view the best as being the full sized .375 that's the most affordable to shoot, or perhaps the best value, the .375 Ruger wins. For me the .375 Ultra chambered in a Brno 602 has proven to be a good choice, so I guess its best for me.
