If you're going to be carrying it a lot
Ruger,Sako,Remington if you must.
Winchester or Cz if you think the first 3 are too light.

375 remington ultra mag, for anything you wish to hunt, and can be down loaded to h&h levels or even the ruger , full hot loads will kick and will hurt

No. 1 x 2

Clay at Prophet River is selling some Ruger #1 rifle in 375 Ruger. They are part of the Craig Boddington series.

The Ruger is the No.1 S, "Lion." They are listed at a great price and include QD rings. I bought one myself.

I think you would do well to buy one of these, as you can likely sell it for the same price you paid, after you have used it for a few years.

Lots of good used ones around. I sold a #1 at Calgary for 800 and a mod 70 safari stainless w/ a Leopold scope at Hanna ($1200). The Win was a great buy & was a buddy's. I would have liked it myself.

Are the current production 375h&h win model 70 receivers dimensionally bigger than their standard 30-06 length receivers? Or are they the same but just hollowed out more internally to fit the larger cartridge.

I went with a Remington XCR in .375 RUM and I'm very happy with it overall. It was too light for full powered handloads, but either a stock change, or adding lead to the stock (which is what I did) fixes that. Very slick action, nice finish, and great cartridge. I'm finding my RUM brass lasts a crazy long time, even with 5500+ ft/lbs handloads.

My second choice would have been a Ruger Alaskan in .375 Ruger, I think.

I have a CZ550 in 375HH and although I really like the rifle it is quite heavy. I cant comment on the winchesters. I also have a ruger alaskan in 375ruger and I could carry that thing all day. Nowhere near as nice to look at as the CZ though.

Lion of a Rifle

There is a lot to be said for tradition. And I would have liked to have gotten a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H.

But there is something to be said for innovation too. And the Ruger #1 Lion sure is light and handy, perhaps due in part to the smaller size of the 375 Ruger cartridge.

In any case, this is my new Ruger Lion. Given that the Lion is king of beasts, it is perhaps fitting that it is chambered in what has been said to be the king of all the 375's: the new 375 Ruger.

You should buy one.
