Not a fantastic group, but I didn't do any load development, just picked the max charge Woodleigh recommends for the .375 H&H (72gr H4350) and loaded up 3, for 2325 fps.

I suppose I could play around with this load a bit more for accuracy, but considering I'm never going to use it past about 50-75 yards max, I may not bother.:p

I never did get a chance to run my 350g Woodleigh H&H loads over the chronograph. I was at 74g of IMR4350 and was getting good accuracy but in my data it looks like that's where I stopped.

*In theory* it would be a close range bear or moose load, probably using iron sights. The recoil is not that bad. It's present, but not intolerable.

I would get it shooting center on target then go to town, or bush as it may be. I know a guy who shoots these in a 378 around 2650 or so and they do right around inch or a hair bigger. Minute of Bear/Moose/Elk/Brinks truck. Whatever.

Looks like a reasonable iron sight load to me.

If this group was shot at 100 yards then it will, of course, be smaller at 50 and 75 and perfectly good enough for your purposes.

On the day you need a close range thumper, that'll get the job done. Your velocity is similar to my Ultra with 380s, and the profile of the 350 PP will probably produce a flatter trajectory; I've made hits out to 300, but the drop is about 2' with a 200 yard zero, so clearly there are better choices on the day you choose to shoot across a meadow. I briefly tried the 380s in the Ruger, but my supply of bullets was dwindling, so I didn't pursue it beyond that one attempt that gave me about 2160 fps using Re-19. Besides my pal who owned the rifle was more interested in lighter and faster and is pretty much married to the 260 gr AB. I have a box of 350s on my bench but they might go to another guy who has an H&H. The 350 PP measures 1.406" and the 380 is a flat nose design with minimal taper at 1.595".

Anybody done any more 350 Woodleigh development for the NEW KING?

I loaded all mine with the load I posted. I'm sure someone has tried out some different powders by now. :)

Nothing hunted yet. Only shot the 3 shots at the range. Been using 250gr TTSX :)

But I often get PM's about NEW KING loads, and someone asked today about the 350gr WL so I bumped this thread for him.

375 H+H 350 gr. Woodliegh 72 gr. R19= 1 medium cow Bison 1 shot through lungs and heart, and exited with about 3 '' hole @ about 42 yards.

Can't see any picture of a group.
