Hornady makes a 375Ruger, 270gr SP-RP, at 100yds it makes 2600fps and 4000 ft/lbs.
So, my question is:
For med-large Ontario Black bear, should I use factory ammo, or spend the extra money for reloading dies and use a 225gr-235gr or even 250gr bullet?
I'm pretty sure that a shoulder shot or even a hind shot with factory ammo will destroy most of the meat. The initial cost for factory will be similar if not just slightly less than for components.....
